The Perle della Tuscia hulled white chickpeas come from organic Italian crops.
Through the mechanical process of decortication, the external tegument (skin) is removed and the legumes are then broken up. Yellow in color and with a delicate flavor, they contain a lot of proteins, starch, mineral salts and raw fibers. The slightly higher fat content compared to other legumes means that the energy value is higher and the consistency is softer.
They cook quickly and are more digestible than whole ones, which is why they are also recommended for children and the elderly. They are also the perfect ingredient for making tasty soups, creams and veloutés, but also hummus, summer salads, hamburgers and vegetable meatballs.
Organic white chickpeas do not need to be soaked and require 50-60 minutes of cooking. In a pressure cooker, the cooking time is reduced to 20 minutes from the start of the whistle. For optimal taste, we recommend adding only salt and extra virgin olive oil. This 300g pack is also 100% recyclable.
