CuCilento Upcycling Sartorial Cilento, Petrosa (SA)

Sarah Khoudja, born in 1980, after 15 years as a project manager around the world for a humanitarian NGO, realizes her dream of starting an upcycling project in Castelnuovo in Cilento. From companies in the province of Salerno and Naples she recovers recycled material such as olive nets, boat sails, deckchair fabrics and umbrellas, to make shopping bags, bags for fruit, vegetables, bread, biscuits and many other accessories for the home and kitchen.
Furthermore, the CuCilento project is active in the Campania region to provide job opportunities to women, in contexts where they have difficulty accessing their economic independence and professional employment.
